Adelfa Correa greeted her visitors with a smile and a plate of bananas, which were grown with assistance from CLWR and one of our Bolivian partners.

CLWR staff met Adelfa, of San Andres, Bolivia, earlier this year. She is one of several in her community to benefit from CLWR-supported training in crop production. The training, which is provided by Fundacion ARADO (Ploughshare Foundation), has allowed Adelfa and her family to produce more food, reducing the threat of hunger. Extra produce can be sold to create income. She is benefitting from the support of a local growing association, whose members are involved in growing fruits like bananas, apples, pineapples, oranges, limes and lemons, as well as beans, corn and cassava.

The bananas were delicious!
