In the fall of 2012, Lutheran congregations across the country will join together for CLWR Sunday to celebrate the church’s international humanitarian work among the poor and marginalized that is undertaken by Canadian Lutheran World Relief. The theme for this year, “Making a Difference,” gives recognition to what has been accomplished through the joint efforts of CLWR and Lutheran Canadians.
Worship resources and bulletin inserts for your congregation’s CLWR Sunday are available for your use. Please view and download them at the links below:

You share in an incredible legacy of caring. For more than 66 years, you have helped communities build capacity for sustainable development by providing access to safe water, basic health care services and education. The impact of your care is far-reaching.
CLWR wishes to thank Rev. Dr. John Kreutzwieser of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Moose Jaw, SK, and Rev. Michael Kurtz of First Lutheran Church in Winnipeg, MB, for preparing reflections on scripture readings and music suggestions.
*Note: While congregations throughout the ELCIC are being encouraged to join together on September 23, 2012, and congregations throughout the Lutheran Church–Canada are being encouraged to join together on October 14, 2012 to mark this occasion, you may choose any Sunday throughout the year to do so.
