Six AM on a Saturday morning in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. It’s damp and unseasonably cool but forty delegates from the Manitoba and Saskatchewan District convention of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League-Canada are setting out on their Walk for Mission. A couple of laps around the breakfast buffet would have been enough for me, but these folks are serious about mission and ministry.
Their charitable object for this walk was Canadian Lutheran World Relief. The result? Nearly $8,000 raised for well projects!
This won’t come as a surprise to anyone who knows of the LWMLC passion for mission. Whether it is domestic or international mission activities LWMLC members support them vigorously and passionately with prayers and money.
